DIY - Let It Grow

If you are too impatient, like me, to wait for plants growing big... paint them! I found these wall paintings on a trip, and stole the wisteria-idea for my own balcony.
It's just the matter of some acrylic paint, and then go for it.

Here you see my beautifully blossoming wisteria

The Teaserettes

My favourite German burlesque group: The Teaserettes. A super-sweet and fun bunch of ladies from Berlin. They will be in Hamburg at Queen Calavera by the end of June. It will be a funny, dirty, trashy, sexy.... just wonderful party. Don't miss them!

Glorious Bastards - Kruger and Tarantino

I am so looking forward to see Quentin Tarantino's latest film "Inglorious Bastards".
Here is a wonderful film-noir-like photo shooting with him and Diane Kruger for New York Magazine, by Jean Baptiste Mondino.

Don't judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes!

Nadya Lev - Alternative Beauty

Nadya Lev is a photographer, and one of the founders of Coilhouse Magazine, an amazing, fierce outburst of alternative beauty and subcultural inspiration.
Surrounded by fetish and glamour, latex, steampunk and Mother of London's leather-couture, Nadya Lev always finds the balance between elegance and humor, beauty and evil freakiness.

(Wow ...and I love, love, love the hair-colour of this model!!!)

DIY: Shirt With Fringe

Germany is slowly exploring DIY. And I was happy to find this blog: "the fashion diary" by Anna Frost. This week she is organizing a blog-carnival about DIY, connecting German blogs via their DIY-projects. You will find a lot of funny, exciting stuff here.
Here is a little DIY-project of mine: a fringe-shirt.
1. Take an old huge t-shirt, cut the top under the arm-holes and the seam.
2. Squash some acrylic-paint over the square.

3. Cut the square into stripes (rings) of about 1,5 cm 4. Attach some of the stripes to the neckline of an other shirt, in front and back. Cut their ends into a nice shape.5. Take a bunch of stripe-rings. You can cover the side-seams by wrapping a stripe around them.6. Then I attached the "necklace" with the wrappings to the shoulders of the other shirt.

Queen Of The Pole

This is AMAZING!
Felix, a dancer from Australia, and Miss Pole Dance World 09/2010, performing in Jamaica for the world championship in April.
At the moment you can find her at Cirque de soleil's show Zumanity (which I sooo much want to see). She is gorgeous!

Irish Knitting - Tim Ryan

Tim Ryan is an Irish knitwear-designer I just recently found via stylebubble. I adore his feminine shapes, the colors, the style. And I like the wide range of his design, from the more subtle elegance of his 08-collection with it's 70's-art-deco flair, to the 09-collection, with it's wonderful bright blue color-explosion.
All his fashion is produced in Europe: cashmere from Italy and Scotland, and the garments are knitted by workers at home, or at small workshops. This is no mass-production, it's a sign of beautiful craftsmanship and ethical awareness.
Unfortunately he doesn't have an own web-site, so you can find more in this article from London fashion week, and of course on stylebubble.

More Is More!

Previous capsule-collection:

Bold, bigger, more: that's Timothy James Andrews. His "Capsule collection 08/09" is as usual a firework of bold pattern and bright colors. I love the over-dimensional jewelry.

Colour-O-Rama

Beware of Emma Bell's colour splashing sequin attack for A/W 09. Nothing serious here, just glitter, delicious gingerbread-men and lots of fun.

Mimie Maneater

Mimie Maneater the cannibal-princess from some unknown pacific island is very, very hungry tonight...
My little burlesque performance at Roadrunners Club in Berlin, 03. May 2009.
Have fun!

Penciled In Deco

Latex is such an amazing material. This is from "House of Bias", a Chicago-based design label. The high importance they attach to craftsmanship and quality makes their products outstanding. I like the touch of couture in these dresses. There is so much cheap and awful stuff around, when you think of latex... so it's always a pleasure to find designers, who come up with something interesting, beautiful: kinky couture with style.

Clorox Blue

Clorox Blue is a new film by Steven Klein, featuring Amber Valletta. I love the shady atmospheric mood, the cinematic erotical harsh glamour.
