Who didn't dream of a tree-house, or tried to build one? Well some architects bring this dream to life. A house in the air, in between sky and earth. A playful nest.
PASSION - INSPIRATION - LOVE

Fred Butler is a set and accessory-designer. But what makes me kneel down in admiration is her bright, colour-sparkling, heartwarming, refreshing fun attitude. I love full-power monochrome styling. She is just speaking directly from my heart...
It's cold, dark and wet outside. A time of the year when i get itchy feet. So many colours are out there to be embraced. Different people and cultures, new aroma and flavours to be explored. Travelling is so important, it's a constant enticement. The best possibility is to work somewhere for a while. Then you don't only rush through places, in a steady fear of missing something. But you can take the chance, to really discover the atmosphere, people, the city or whatever. To learn, to experience, to grow.

Mother of London is a L.A. based ready-to-wear-label for eccentric dark costumes and fashion. I like the way she plays with fetish and victorian attributes as well as with futuristic visions. And she proves that erotica doesn't have to be vulgar. Always elegant and with high quality, Mother of London has become one of the most interesting labels for alternative fashion. This pic, found on flickr, is made by the wonderful Ellen von Unwerth for Lavazza. I always thought flight-crew-uniforms need more sexiness...

I found this on flickr. It's a wales-based designer who reconstruct clothing, as a statement against the throw-away-mentality of our culture. A part of her collection is called Quirky Couture and is burlesque/victorian/steampunk-inspired.

Here you see the costume i made as my final project for the degree as a Gewandmeister (costume interpreter) in July 2008. I designed and made it: Erinye, demon of revenge. My inspiration were war-goddesses like Pallas Athena, Kali and the Valkyries, and the costumes of the film "300". The buckler with the doll parts was inspired by the Lilith-myth. My model was the stunning Florence Kasumba who is an actress here in Germany. She rocked it.
